Prime Video heeft aangekondigd dat Elle, de langverwachte prequel serie van Legally Blonde, geproduceerd door Hello Sunshine en Amazon MGM Studios, op 1 juli in première gaat. De serie zal exclusief te zien zijn op Prime Video. Nog vóór de lancering heeft Prime Video bovendien al groen licht gegeven voor een tweede seizoen van de serie.
Elle serie
Het eerste seizoen vertelt het verhaal van Elle Woods op de middelbare school en schetst hoe zij zich ontwikkelt tot de Elle die we later leren kennen in de eerste Legally Blonde-film. Reese Witherspoon zei:

Elle is gecreëerd door Laura Kittrell (High School, Insecure), die samen met Caroline Dries optreedt als co-showrunner en uitvoerend producent. Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Marc Platt en Amanda Brown zijn eveneens uitvoerend producent. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) regisseerde de eerste twee afleveringen van seizoen één en is daarnaast ook uitvoerend producent.
De cast van het eerste seizoen bestaat uit Lexi Minetree als Elle Woods, June Diane Raphael als haar moeder Eva en Tom Everett Scott als haar vader Wyatt. Daarnaast spelen Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney en Zac Looker mee. Terugkerende rollen zijn weggelegd voor onder anderen Jessica Belkin, Logan Shroyer, Amy Pietz, Matt Ober, Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, Lisa Yamada en James Van Der Beek.
