The White Lotus is verlengd voor seizoen 3 bij HBO. Het tweede seizoen kwam tot een dramatisch einde in december 2022, maar maker Mike White kijkt al vooruit naar de toekomstige seizoenen:
“We just turned in our last episode to the network yesterday, so it’s hard to think about the next race. But if we did, I think it’d be fun to maybe go to a whole different continent. You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something crazy like that, that would be fun.”
Net als de seizoenen ervoor volgt het derde seizoen een nieuwe groep gasten in een geheel ander White Lotus-resort. Het eerste seizoen speelde zich af op Hawaï, terwijl het tweede zich afspeelt op Sicilië. Er is nog geen bevestiging over de locatie van seizoen drie.
Francesca Orsi, executive vice president van HBO Programming en hoofd van HBO drama series and films, vertelde:
“Reflecting on ‘The White Lotus’’ humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows. And yet, he’s only continued to reach new heights in season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision. His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humor and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”
White zei:
“There’s no place I’d rather work than HBO and there’s no people I’d rather partner with than Casey Bloys, Francesca Orsi, Nora Skinner and their incredible team. I feel so lucky to get this opportunity again and am excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators on ‘The White Lotus.’”
Seizoen één debuteerde in de zomer van 2021 en seizoen twee in de herfst van 2022, dus hopelijk zien we seizoen drie in 2023.

De HBO-serie The White Lotus van Mike White (Enlightened) is een sociale satire over de perikelen van diverse werknemers en gasten van een exclusief, paradijselijk resort gedurende een roerige week. The White Lotus is gemaakt, geschreven en geregisseerd door White. Het is uitvoerend geproduceerd door White, David Bernard, Mark Kamine en Nick Hall.
Het eerste seizoen had rollen voor Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Natasha Rothwell, Steve Zahn, Sydney Sweeney, Brittany O’Grady, Jake Lacy, Alexandra Daddario, Molly Shannon, Jennifer Coolidge en Fred Hechinger. De cast van seizoen 2 bestond uit Michael Imperioli als Dominic Di Grasso, Aubrey Plaza als Harper Spiller, F. Murray Abraham als Bert Di Grasso, Tom Hollander als Quentin, Adam DiMarco als Albie Di Grasso, Haley Lu Richardson als Porta Theo James als Cameron, Meghann Fahy als Daphne, Will Sharpe als Ethan en nieuwkomer Leo Woodall als Jack. Jennifer Coolidge keerde terug als Tanya McQuoid.
